Bio

F. Scott is my dad’s name.

F. Scott is a Guelph-based artist blending folk, indie, and hip-hop influences to paint a picture of house parties, rugged outdoors,  awkward experiences, and friends.

F. Scott is currently releasing Scotty Season. It's a season of music, or more accurately an album released in 5 parts over 3 months. Each part represents a different place/era of his life.

Before all this came a short EP in 2018, Normal Behaviour, made in multiple makeshift studios in Guelph, Toronto, and Creemore. From sketchy mic set-ups and closet studios to samples of friends at parties, most everything was DIY. The EP has garnered over 80,000 streams to date.

F. Scott has played live shows in Toronto (Horseshoe Tavern), Guelph (University of Guelph), and Brantford (Two Doors) and has collaborated with Guelph artist Flo.

Nice Things

“There's this sort of zen quality to it where if you leave all expectations at the door, you will enjoy the album that much more. Forget about what you know, don't bother trying to peg the influences or genres involved here, just let it talk to you.” - Divide and Conquer

“Summer Shame starts in a meditative fashion, with long, unearthly notes, before hitting a pop groove. The vocals have a wonderful character, chilled yet emotional. I found myself clinging onto every word of the first verse, before being blown away by the impact of the instrumental hook.” - York Calling

“This is an all-out enjoyable experience that would be perfect to have to play at the hangout.” - TJPL News

“A raw attitude from the singer that makes one want to hear more” - Earmilk
